An 18th Century Fishermans Cottage available for long and short holiday lets situated in the original village of Appledore, North Devon. The Cottage is just 100 yards from the Quay where local fisherman moor their boats and sell their fresh catch.
The Cottage was built in 1760 for local dock workers or fishermen and their families. It was originally one of 3 cottages in 'The Darts' which later on became Vernons Lane in the 1800's and whilst refurbishing the cottage we found old coins dating back to 1862.
The Cottage has been refurbished to a high standard and encompasses 2 Double Bedrooms upstairs, 1 with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds, and downstairs a Lounge, Kitchen/Diner, Bathroom and seperate Toilet. To the rear of the cottage is an enclosed Courtyard with Barbeque and seating for those balmy summer Devon evenings.
The cottage is furnished to a high level of comfort with gas central heating throughout, hot water on demand, a comfortable modern sofa, television, DVD player and sound system in the lounge. Electric cooker, microwave and washer/dryer in the kitchen, and comfortable beds with clean fresh linen upstairs. Our pictures page will show you photographs of the cottage and the village.
